LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
This letter serves as a recommendation for Mr David Turner who has worked with lnvensys for the last 23 years. During this period of time lworked with David on numerous occasions and in particular on several SCADA projects over last 4 years.
David's main area of expertise and professional practice during his engagement with lnvensys was application of SCADA systems with particular focus on data communication networks and data interfaces involving Remote Terminal Units (RTU). Last 20 years has seen rapid evolution of technology in this field, which David comfortably kept abreast of through various forms of training but also through personal and diligent pursuit of new developments.
David has demonstrated his ability to analyse problems and synthesize solutions in many ways: firstly by application of his considerable subject matter knowledge and secondly by in-depth research of issues. Always appropriately documenting his findings and forming foundations of required solutions. Always ready to explain and justify his findings and proposed solutions.
Engineering of Remote Terminal Units and other equipment of similar function (often described by different name) requires extensive field work, away from home base. David was always open to undertake such work even over extended periods to make sure that the stated objectives and high level of client's satisfaction have been achieved. David frequently utilised contacts with clients to provide additional explanations of solutions delivered by lnvensys seeking at the same time possibilities of add-on business. More formal training courses which David delivered on numerous occasions were always regarded very highly by the clients.
David's considerable knowledge of lnvensys equipment enabled him to support product development activities. While not directly involved in the technology development, formulated product enhancement ideas basing on his experiences and client's feedback, also designed validation and verification methods and techniques assuring high quality outcomes. Much of David's work was supported by engineering tools he developed himself using Microsoft platforms bridging client's standards and other engineering tools.
Remote Terminal Units application projects usually do not involve large engineering teams. Nevertheless David was often engaged in team effort involving lnvensys and client's personnel providing direction and coordination of the required works. David was also keen to pass on his skills and knowledge to junior engineers working with him.
I have no hesitation to recommend David as a valuable asset to any organisation pursuing similar business opportunities.
